Went in yesterday and was made to feel like I was doing something wrong by spending over £100. For some reason the sales assistant told me that Maplin don't issue refunds which they do. One of the items I bought from them doesnt work wish me luck getting an exchange, its for my autistic nephew who have a massive autistic meltdown if I can't make his Christmas present/ karaoke machine work

Called in at the Store "maplin the component Store" more of a pre-packaged nic-nac Store these days some staff seem to have had the life stamped out of them with no real intrest in the customers needs this is "what we sell we dont carry these parts no more" ordering online and have your parts delivered would be my option as only the same items available in the nearby DIY Store are at a more competatve price are stocked instore. You make your choice and pay the price the parking is tight at times. but the exiting the carpark on to the main road outside can be a nightmare at peek times some disabaled parking spaces by the Store.

They should employ knowledgeable staff instead of people which doesn't want to be there. GCSE results and Uni is not everything by the looks of it...

Some people love this place some don't. I've always had great Customer service. If someone doesn't know an answer they get someone who will. Latest thing I bought was a phone charger. The guy who helped me was helpful and knew which charger I needed, he showed me options, & never pressured sold anything (unlike another shop on the retail park) I will return.

Staff are very helpful, can seem a bit daunting walking in as they seem to be waiting for you but everyone was friendly and approachable.

Unfortunately staff haven't got a clue what you talking about. Even simple things like very popular brands which they sell on their website.
